The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Sanders of Cedartown. She is the granddaughter of Doris Brock of Rome, Mr. and Mrs. Goldin Sanders of Cedartown and the late Gene Brock.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wheat of Silver Creek. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Colbert Wheat of Rome and Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Earwood of Silver Creek. He is the great-grandson of Sarah Earwood of Dallas.

The Rev. Greg Locklear of Centre, Ala. performed the double-ring ceremony before a white lattice arch adorned with pink vogue roses, ivy and ivory tulle. White wicker fern stands and white tiki torches flanked the wedding party. The aisle chairs featured pink buckets hung with sheer striped pink ribbon and filled with light pink roses, kermit poms and daisies.

A program of wedding music was performed by cellist Jim Williams of Rome. Selections included “Ave Maria,” “Largo,” “To a Wild Rose,” “Meditation,” “Winds of Song,” “Nocturne and March” and “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.”

Ashley Millican of Rome, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Megan Powell of Lindale was the maid of honor. They wore tea-length A-line gowns of pink LaMoire satin with champagne accents at the empire waistlines. They wore pearl earrings and matching pearl necklace, gifts from the bride and groom. They carried bouquets of light pink roses, green hydrangea, kermit poms and berries wrapped in ivory satin ribbon with pearls.

Sadie Bentley was the flower girl. She rode in a satin draped wagon and was pulled by her sister, Savannah Bentley, both of Cedartown.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her stepfather, wore a gown of ivory satin featuring a strapless bodice embossed with iridescent beading and champagne satin ribbon that met at the draped empire bust and cascaded around the back. The dropped waistline flowed into an A-line skirt accented with champagne satin ribbons and iridescent beading with a chapel-length train. The fingertip-length tulle veil was adorned with iridescent crystal beads. She wore diamond princess-cut stud earrings, a gift from the groom, and a diamond-studded necklace that her sister wore at her wedding. The bride carried a bouquet of light pink roses, kermit poms, vogue roses and green hydrangea and berries wrapped with ivory satin ribbon and pearls.

The father of the groom and Johnny Ray Wheat, brother of the groom, were the best men.

Hayden Wheat, nephew of the groom, and Ryan Brock, cousin of the bride, were the ring bearers.

The mother of the bride wore a tea-length celadon green suit of brocade silk accented with double chiffon ruffles. The mother of the groom wore a tea-length satin champagne dress accented with chocolate swirls embossed with mother of pearl sequins with a matching jacket. They carried tussie-mussies of ivory spray roses. The grandmothers were presented with white corsages.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Women’s Building in Cedartown. Refreshments included the bride’s three-tier round white cake with ivory butter cream frosting and topped with the couple’s initials. The groom’s chocolate cake featured the Browning deer emblem and Hershey’s camouflage kisses.

The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a barbecue dinner at The Women’s Building.
