Downtown merchants were urged at this mornings Downtown Coffee Break to capitalize on what should be a big weekend starting Sept. 5.
The final First Friday concert will feature The Zoots, a swing band, at Bridgepoint Plaza, from 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. 5. Downtown stores are always urged to remain open until at least 7 p.m. on First Friday to take advantage of foot traffic and lend a vibrancy to downtown.

Dangerous Calling is a thriller set in the church world, Aaron Blevins said. He said the directors, Josh and Jeremiah Daws, once lived in Rome, and part of the film was shot in Armuchee. Dangerous Calling will be shown twice Saturday at The Forum: at 11 a.m. in the Riverwalk Room and at 9 p.m. in the Berry Shorter Room.
