A white Cadillac CTS struck a tree on Sproull Road and the female driver has been injured, police said.
According to Kim Williams with the Floyd County Police Department, 32-year-old Amy Arrington of Rome was driving northbound on Sproull Road toward Kingston Highway. Williams said Arrington was distracted as she rounded a curve, and the vehicle left the road and slammed into a tree head-on.
EMTs on the scene said Arrington was complaining of a broken leg. She was taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment for her injuries.
Sproull Road was blocked for about half an hour as the wreckage was cleared.
