Robert and Candace Murdock, both of Rome, announce the engagement of their daughter Julie Camille Murdock to Corey Thomas McCallum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McCallum of Birmingham, Ala.
Miss Murdock is a 2005 honor graduate of Rome High School and currently attends Mississippi State University. She is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
The bride-elect is the sister of Lydia Murdock Gray of Macon and Mellany, Laura, Holly, Kelsea, Robbie, Keith, Mallory, Mariah, Alyssa, Ben and Logan Murdock, all of Rome. She is the granddaughter of Gwen Murdock of Rome, Bobbie Commander of Brenham, Texas, the late Robert A. Murdock Jr. and the late W.A. Williamson Jr.
McCallum is a 2005 graduate of Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham and currently attends Mississippi State University. He is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
The groom-elect is the brother of Clay, Mark, Matt and Ben McCallum, all of Birmingham. He is the grandson of Julia McCallum, Jean Kizer of Starkville, Miss., the late Oliver Watkins McCallum and and the late Lennie G. Kizer.
The wedding ceremony is planned for Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Altadena Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Ala. A reception will follow.
