Seven pharmacists at Floyd Medical Center have completed an anticoagulation certification program.
The pharmacists are Nana Ankoma, Hal Bradshaw, Tracy Fudge, Troy Hopper, Gary Latta, Matthew Middleton and Jody Smith.
Ankoma is a native of The Republic of Ghana. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University, Atlanta. She completed a pharmacy residency at Baptist Memorial Health Care, Memphis, Tenn. A Floyd employee for eight years, Ankoma is a member of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. She resides in Kennesaw.
Bradshaw obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. A Floyd employee for two years, he and his wife, Jodi, reside in Rome with their children Sid, Sam, Elise and Eli.
Fudge earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia, Athens. A Floyd employee for eight years, he is a member of the American Pharmacists Association. He and his wife, Elaine, reside in Acworth with their children Kaitlyn and William. They attend Wildwood Baptist Church in Acworth.
Hopper obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia, Athens. A Floyd employee for two years, he and his wife, Beth, reside in Cartersville.
Latta earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia, Athens. He completed a pharmacy residency at Athens Regional Medical Center. Latta has been a Floyd employee for five years. He and his wife, Melinda, reside in Summerville where they attend Calvary Baptist Church.
Middleton earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia, Athens. He completed a pharmacy residency from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. Middleton is a member of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. A Floyd employee for two years, he and his family reside in Rome.
Smith earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia, Athens. He completed a pharmacy residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah, Ga. Smith has been a Floyd employee for four years. He is a member of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. He and his family reside in Pine Log, and they attend Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, Cartersville.
Joe Holder, a pharmacist at The Specialty Hospital located on the fourth floor of Floyd Medical Center, also completed the anticoagulation monitoring program. He earned his bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from the University of Georgia, Athens. He has been an employee of The Specialty Hospital for three years, and is a member of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. He and his family reside in Rome.
