The Bartow/Cartersville Drug Task Force arrested three individuals, one of them from Rome, on drug charges today at what was reported to be a clandestine meth lab.
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap and Cartersville Police Chief Tommy Culpepper:
Drug Task Force Agents were called to 25 Carson Loop at the Howard Johnson Motel after deputies located what appeared to be a meth lab.
The front of the building was quickly evacuated for the safety of the public. The deputies were attempting to execute an arrest warrant for Jeffery David Ray when the lab was found, along with methamphetamine.
The following individuals were arrested and jailed pending bond hearing.
Jeffery David Ray, 31 years old of 4348 Highway 411, Rydal, Georgia, charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of an altered psudophedrine product, trafficking methamphetamine.
Kelly Denise Harrell, 31 years old of 22 Tamassee Lane, Rome, charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of an altered psudophedrine product, trafficking methamphetamine.
Lanny Wayne West, 38 years old of 1247 Orr Mill Road, Ranger, charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of an altered psudophedrine product, trafficking methamphetamine.
More arrests are expected.
