After Thursdays evening session and Fridays morning session of the National High School Finals Rodeo, most of the Greater Rome competitors saw a drop in the rankings.
The only rider that didnt was Summervilles Brianna Brinkley, who moved up in the pole bending AVG rankings from 130th to 51st with a 43.254. She also holds 55th place in pole bending with a 21.386.
State high school rodeo champion Cody Lanier, also from Summerville, saw a dip in his steer wrestling rankings, falling to 21st with a 5.729. In steer wrestling AVG, Lanier is 15th with a 14.312.
The team of Romes Auston Thomas and LaFayettes Dusty Swanson fell to 35th place in the team roping AVG with an 8.423. Thomas also dropped to 81st in tie-down roping AVG with a 13. 455.
Silver Creeks Cody Pringle is in 38th in saddle bronc AVG with a 55, while Aragons Casey Cason and Blake Arp are locked in a three-way tie in bareback riding with a 67.
Taylor King, of Cedartown, is 71st in breakaway roping with a 5.819, while placing 126th in barrel racing AVG with a 17.801.
The event held in Farmington, N.M. began last Sunday and concludes today with the championship performance.
