The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven White of Dallas. The Rev. Paul Michaels of Dallas performed the double-ring ceremony before an altar adorned with urns of roses and baby’s breath and flanked by silver candle stands with white pillar candles. Bows of white satin marked the family pews. A program of wedding music included “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Canon in D,” “With God as My Witness” and “Wedding March.”

The mothers of the bridal couple were presented with corsages of white roses and miniature Calla lilies. The grandmothers were presented with corsages of white roses.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at R-Ranch in the Mountains.

Refreshments included the bride’s three-tier yellow cake with white butter cream icing. The base of each square tier was wrapped in a light blue ribbon. The groom’s chocolate cake with chocolate icing was in the shape of a ball and chain with a Forsyth County Sheriff’s seal on the ball. The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Smith House in Dahlonega.
