Consumers worried about identity theft have a chance to learn from experts today at a seminar at the Rome Senior Citizens Center.

The nations employers who pay workers the minimum wage will begin shelling out 70 cents more per hour today.
The new minimum wage is $6.55 an hour, up from $5.85, and is the second step in a three-year plan to raise those totals.
It is expected to affect under two million workers.
In Georgia, a hearing is set for 9 a.m. in Fulton County Superior Court over Southern Center for Human Rights lawsuit with the Georgia Public Defender Standards Council about the states ailing public defender system.
