There was some confusion on the course at Cherokee County Country Club in Centre, Ala., during the final round of the Rome Tours Cherokee County Invitational.
In the end, Robson Copenhaver came out on top in the Championship Flight because of the leader being disqualified.
Ryan Horton owned a one-stroke lead coming to the 18th hole and, after playing the hole, was informed by another player that he played the wrong ball. Since he had left the green before the mistake was noticed, he was disqualified.
Copenhaver shot a 140, followed by Brennan Clay in second and Thomas Looney in third.
Michael Cassidy shot a 146 to lead the first flight, while Tim McTaggart followed with a 147 and Clay Stevenson shot a 148.
Second flight leader Lee Morgan shot a 149. Ladell Norton took second with a 152 and Matt Brown rounded out the top three with a 153.
Mike Griffins 156 was enough to take first in the third flight, while Johnny Bentley shot a 157 and Terry Tallent carded a 158.
The fourth flights leaders were Jonathan Harris with a 160 and Brad Coley with a 162. Travis Kettering and Terrance Turner each shot a 165.
The fifth flight also saw a tie between leaders Chris Holderfield and Paul Gentry each shooting a 171. Chris Coleman followed with a 172.
Through six Rome Tour events, Brad Crowe leads the field of golfers with 120 points in the standings. Steve Googe is in second with 83, while Norton (63), Randy Bowman (60) and Brent Sizemore (54) round out the top five.
