POLIO CLINIC IN ROME TO CONTINUE THROUGH TOMORROW
The polio clinic at Floyd Health Department this week has been very disappointing, according to officials.
The clinic is free, and mainly for those who cant afford to get shots from their doctor. Sponsored by the Floyd Polio Chapter, it started Monday and will continue through tomorrow, the hours 1 to 3:30 p.m.
The City Board of Education requires the polio shot along with the smallpox and triple vaccine for children entering the city schools in the first grade. The Floyd Board does not require the shot but it is recommended.
In order to get in the required three shots it was necessary to start this early in the summer.
