Two people from Floyd County were among several arrests made on drug charges in Cherokee County, Ala.
According to police reports, 32-year-old Kevin Edward Vaughn and 40-year-old Michael Dewayne King, both of Floyd County, were among four people arrested in Leesburg, Ala., on Wednesday. The arrests were part of a combined drug investigation by the Cherokee County Narcotics Unit, Chattooga County investigators and DEA agents.
Several thousand dollars worth of methamphetamine and materials used for manufacturing meth were found.
Vaughn has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine and unlawful possession of marijuana. King was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
