From Cartersville Daily Tribune News Cordell takes arson-burned home case to appellate court Not content with Senior U.S. District Court Judge Robert Vining's May ruling that Howard "Greg" Cordell's former homeowner's insurance company is entitled to recover its payment to his mortgage company and a cash advance, he and wife, Alyssa, recently filed an appeal to the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the Northern District of Georgia. The Cordell's Old Mill Road home was destroyed by a fire in September 2004. He agreed with insurance company attorneys during the trial the house was destroyed due to arson.
