According to Floyd County Police Sergeant Daniel Pendley, officers are still on the lookout for the suspect who made off with approximately $3,000 from the Village Green convenience store on Park Ave. yesterday afternoon.

The suspect was described as a black male, between 5-foot-8 and 6-feet tall, weighing between 170 and 185 pounds. He was last seen heading on foot toward a wooded area behind the Dragon Car Wash at about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. He was wearing white shorts and a black T-shirt.

Officers from the Floyd County Police Department, as well as Floyd County Sheriff's Deputies and a Rome Police K-9 unit, spent several hours searching for a trail or clues to the suspects location yesterday, but were unable to come up with any leads.

Pendley said today that the investigation is continuing, and if anyone has any information about the robbery or the suspects, they should call the Floyd County Police Department.
