Officers from three local law enforcement agencies searched in vain in Lindale for a man who robbed the Village Green convenience store this afternoon 102 Park Ave.

Bravin Patel, the owner of the Village Store, was held at gunpoint from outside and brought back into the store by the suspect, who Patel said was wearing a black mask and wearing a black t-shirt and white shorts. Patel said he gave the man $3,000.

Floyd County Police and Floyd County Sheriff's Office deputies and a Rome Police Department K9 unit arrived on the scene, but came up empty.

Officers are still patrolling the area, but the full-blown search has been scaled back.

The suspect is described as a black male between 5-feet 8-inches and 6 feet tall, weighing 170-180 pounds.
