A Rome man was arrested Monday on a warrant charging him with fleeing police and possession of drugs.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Anthony Lamar Greene, 21, of 18 Wimpey St., was arrested by Floyd County Sheriff’s deputies for an incident that occurred June 24 on Cave Spring St. at South McLin St.
After being stopped by police that day, Greene fled on foot. He was charged with two counts of obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers and possession of less that one ounce of marijuana.
His bail was set at $5,000 but he was also being held on probation violation for a previous marijuana possession charge.
