Former Darlington student reported missing from her Atlanta home

A 15-year-old Atlanta resident, who is a former Darlington School student, has been reported missing.

Nailah Yungai was discovered missing by her younger sister, in their parent’s Northwest Atlanta home during the early morning on Wednesday, according to family friend Ku'ulei Sako

Yungai’s parents hired a detective to help bring their daughter home; however, they are in need of more help getting the word out to the Rome community, where their daughter resided and attended Darlington School during the school year.

Darlington School officials said she attended the school during the 2007-2008 school year but was not scheduled to return for the upcoming school year.

Family and friends are holding a peaceful demonstration and walk on at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Atlanta’s Salem Baptist Church located at 2283 Baker Road. The group will gather in the church’s parking lot at 11:30 a.m. and the walk will begin at noon.
