An Alabama man remained in jail Wednesday after his arrest late Tuesday night after a traffic stop.

According to Floyd County police reports:

Jamie Leonard Cole, 33, of 170 County Road 121 in Cedar Bluff, Ala., was stopped near the intersection of Ga. 20 and Krannert Drive around 11:30 p.m. Officers reported Cole appeared disoriented and found a gun in his pocket. Cole was found to have a Jennings J22 pistol.

After he was booked into the Floyd County Jail, it was determined that Cole had given officers a false name and date of birth and had signed several documents under another name.

Cole was issued multiple charges including carrying a concealed weapon, giving false statements and writings, giving a false name and ID to an officer, carrying a pistol without a license, DUI and driving while his license was suspended.
