Woman airlifted to FMC after wreck in Cherokee Co.

Two drivers were injured in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 411 in Alabama this morning, reports stated.

According to the Alabama State Patrol Jacksonville, Ala., Post:

James Rogers, 45, of Piedmont, Ala., was traveling on U.S. 411 near a junkyard when his 2007 Mack truck left the roadway, struck a 2003 Chevrolet SSR driven by Susan Redgate, 75, of Centre, Ala., and hit a power pole.

Redgate was airlifted and taken to Floyd Medical Center with unknown injuries. She was extricated from her vehicle by the Cherokee County (Ala.) Rescue Squad.

Rogers was taken by ambulance to Cherokee Baptist Memorial Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Responding agencies included the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee EMS Ambulance Service, Alabama State Troopers, Spring Creek Fire Department, Cherokee County Sheriff's Department, Cherokee Electric Cooperative and others.
