Abbott - Rollins Engagement

MISS ABBOTT
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lester Abbott of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter Andrea Lee Abbott to Barry Newman Rollins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Baxter Rollins of Bowdon. Miss Abbott is a 2000 graduate of Rome High School, a 2005 graduate of the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in education and a 2007 graduate of the University of West Georgia with a master’s degree in speech language pathology. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and a member of Omicron Kappa Delta Leadership Fraternity. She is employed with the Douglas County School System as a speech therapist.

The bride-elect is the sister of Heather Abbott Earnest, Braxton Reeves Allen, Ronald Neil Abbott, all of Rome and Donald Nathan Abbott of Atlanta. She is the granddaughter of Richard A. Petree of Atlanta, the late Ladelle R. Petree and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willard Donald Abbott.

Rollins is a 1995 graduate of Bowdon High School, attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a 2000 graduate of the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. He is employed with Dermo Realty in Carrollton as an executive marketing assistant in graphic design.

The groom-elect is the brother of Randa Rollins Harris and Beverly Rollins Thompson, both of Bowdon. He is the grandson of Lonnie Lee Rogers, the late Vivian Denney Rogers and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymon O’Neal Rollins.

The wedding ceremony is planned for Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Morris Chapel at Darlington School in Rome.
