Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Cochran of Calhoun announce the engagement of their daughter Tina LaSaunda Forrister to Brian Zane Mullinax, son of Rod and Nancy Mackey of Rome and Tommy Mullinax of Gadsden, Ala.
Miss Forrister is a 1999 graduate of Pepperell High School, a 2003 graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in child and family development and a 2007 graduate of Berry College with a master’s degree in early childhood education. She is employed at Fairmount Elementary School as a first grade teacher and will teach first grade next year at West Central Elementary School in Rome.
The bride-elect is the sister of Derek Forrister and Brodie Pullen. She is the granddaughter of Gerald and Ruby McPherson of Buchanan.
Mullinax is a staff sergeant in the Georgia National Guard. He completed a tour of duty in Iraq in 2006 and is scheduled for deployment to Afghanistan in 2009.
The groom-elect is the brother of Christi Fuller, Amy Smith, W.D. and Jeremy Mackey. He is the grandson of Winnie Cameron of Rome, Joan Morgan of Angier, N.C., the late Ray Mullinax and the late Fred and Dora Garrett.
The wedding ceremony is planned for Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the chapel at Garden Lakes Baptist Church.
