The Floyd County Sheriffs Office is planning seminars to educate the community about methamphetamine and gangs.
The meth seminar will cover signs of drug activity, what to do if you discover or suspect a drug lab in your neighborhood and what to do after a meth bust.
The seminar will be Tuesday, June 17, from 6-9 p.m. at The Forum. Topics in the gang presentation include history of gangs, why youths join, gang identifiers, initiation practices and possible solutions.
The gang seminar will be Tuesday, July 15, from 6-9 p.m. at The Forum.
There is no charge for admission to the seminars but reservations are required. Call Bobby Pearson at 706-291-4111 ext. 847 by June 13 to reserve a spot in the meth seminary and by July 11 for the gang seminar.
