MRS. RYAN AUSTIN LANGILLE
Tiffany Gail Reese and Ryan Austin Langille were married at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2008, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rome.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Truel Reese Jr. of Rome.

The groom is the son of Paula Langille Packer and the late Paul Austin Langille.

The Rev. James Miceli performed the double-ring ceremony before an altar decorated with arrangements of Fugi mums, Annabel hydrangea, orchids, pink roses and native greenery. A program of wedding music was performed by organist Neil Sanders; soloist Karen Betz and the St. Mary’s Catholic Church choir. Selections included “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” “Canon in D” and “With Trumpets and Horns.” Scripture readings were delivered by Gail Leslie of Columbus, aunt of the bride and Megan Corbett Langille, sister of the groom.

Tasha Reese Shaw of Rome was the matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jillian Jackson Reese of Newnan, sister-in-law of the bride; and Tonya Rowland and Jamie Williams, both of Rome. They wore formal two-piece gowns of taupe tissue taffeta with strapless gathered bodices tied in back at the waists on top of A-line skirts. The bridesmaids carried hand-gathered bouquets of green hydrangea, hot pink roses, purple statice and native greenery.

Abigail Jackson Shaw, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore an ivory silk dress and carried a moss covered basket of rose petals. Other flower girls were Penelope Claire Reese, Olivia Jean Langille and Anna Reese Shaw. They wore ivory silk dresses with overlays of ivory organza and carried rose covered kissing balls.

The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore a strapless formal-length gown of ivory silk satin featuring a delicate pleated top and a jeweled bodice attached by a fitted drop waist to a flowing A-line skirt. The skirt had released pleats at the back followed by a single line of silk satin covered buttons. The gown ended in a beaded chapel-length train. The bride carried a bouquet of Sarah Bernhardt peonies, Virginia roses with mixed foliage hand-tied with silk ribbon, French knots, pearls and heirloom lace from her mother’s veil.

Mark Edward Langille of Lindenhurst, Ill., brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were William John Zuromski, Tony David Thenas and Paul John Schlitz.

Nathaniel Paul Langille, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.

The bride’s mother wore a full-length strapless royal blue gown of tiered silk and a bolero jacket. The mother of the groom chose a formal sage green silk gown with spaghetti straps and a crystal trimmed jacket. The mothers of the bridal couple carried clutches of garden flowers.

Following the ceremony, a garden reception was held at Coosa Country Club. Refreshments included the bride’s three-tiered initialed round and square raspberry-filled cake decorated with flowers displayed on a moss-covered wrought iron table. The groom’s cake was a three-tiered dessert tower of chocolate covered strawberries, Key Lime tarts and double chocolate tarts.

The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Rome Civic Center.

Other prenuptial parties included an engagement party hosted by the parents of the bride; a bed, bath, bar and beyond shower hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Harry Dawson, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tondee, Mr. and Mrs. Don Schlitz, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schlitz, Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Reese and Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Shaw; a kitchen shower hosted by Joan Mulrennan; a personal shower hosted by Tonya Rowland; a shower hosted by Holly Lynch; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon hosted by Gail Leslie at the Governor’s House in Kingston the day before the wedding.

After a wedding trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple will reside in Rome.
