Two Floyd residents remain behind bars without bond on three counts each of financial transaction card theft.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Charlotte Denise Ozier, 29, of 3624 Everett Springs Road, Armuchee, and Michael Richard Smith, 43, of 13 Cameo Drive in Rome, were both charged with three counts of felony financial transaction card theft.

Ozier and Smith reportedly stole three $100 gift cards from stores some time between March 13 and Wednesday.

Ozier was switching the activated gift cards with unactivated cards she kept in her purse.

Floyd County police arrested Smith at his residence on Cameo Drive, and Ozier was later arrested at Woodberry Inn.
