Breeders from across the Southeast are asking for help finding any American hairless terriers owned by an Aragon woman who was killed by a tornado Saturday in Polk County.
Bonnie Turners residence on Live Oak Road was home to about 40 of the dogs.

Jo Trapp, a family friend and fellow breeder from Florida, asked the community for help locating any dogs that survived.
Weve been trying to contact each other because we heard her house was destroyed, Trapp said. Were hoping some of the dogs survived.
She said four of the dogs had already been found. The dogs had suffered minor injuries but were otherwise in good condition.
The dogs, between 10 and 14 inches tall and weighing as much as 25 pounds, were housed in 40 air conditioned kennels behind Turners residence.
Trapp said the kennels were flattened.
She was one of the primary breeders of this breed, Trapp said. She had the No. 1 dog at her place. Were hoping many of them have lived.
Trapp asked anyone who finds one of the dogs to either contact her at 407-889-8642, or take them to a local shelter.
These dogs were her life, Trapp concluded. They (Bonnie and Michael Turner) have really helped this breed grow to where it is today.
Jeff Crawford, director of the Polk County animal control, said several of Turners dogs were found dead in a field near the home, but he didnt know how many.
