Playing two games in one day is something not usually done by basketball teams.
The Coosa Valley Tech Bruins proved Saturday they can do it as the first-year club program claimed a pair of wins during a four-game Fellowship Tournament at Pepperell High that included teams from Northwestern Tech, West Central Tech and Griffin Tech.
The Bruins opened the event handing Griffin a 69-65 defeat, then closed out the day with a 78-57 victory over West Central to improve their record to 3-1.
Against Griffin, CVTC combined for 12 three-pointers with Jonathan Little leading the charge with six treys as he finished the game leading the Bruins with 20 points.
Jewey Monford added 16 points for Coosa Valley and Dee Johnson had 14.
Four Bruins reached double figures against West Central as Jazz Gregoire had 17 points. Keyvan McClinic had 11, and Jeremy Duvall and Johnson both finished with 10. Derion Orr added four blocks for CVTC.
In the other two games, Northwestern Tech remained unbeaten as the Mustangs took a 75-46 win over West Central and a 97-78 romp against Griffin.
Coosa Valley remains at home next Saturday hosting West Central at 1 p.m. at Pepperell.
