Bartow County sheriff reports meth bust

Two Atlanta residents were arrested Wednesday in Bartow County in drug charges after local law enforcement officials said they were found in possession of methamphetamines worth more than $40,000.

According to news release from the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office: Narcotic units from the sheriff’s office and the Cartersville Police Department along with officials with the Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) Agency arrested the two suspects at a Glade Road convenience store.

Sonia Torres-Penaloza, 21, and Antonio Solorio-Torres, 22, were charged with trafficking meth and sale of meth. Sheriff Clark Millsap said immigration officials have detained both suspects. He said more arrests are likely.
