LeAnn Edwards and Barry Crigger, both of Knoxville, Tenn., were married at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006, at an oceanside ceremony on Atlantic Beach in Jacksonville, Fla.
The bride is the daughter of Beth C. Edwards of Rome. She is the granddaughter of Calvin and Billie Cooper of Rome.
The groom is the son of Ronald and Candy Crigger of Jacksonville. He is the grandson of Lyndoll Williams and the late Samuel A. Williams of Johnson City, Tenn.
The double-ring ceremony was performed beneath an archway adorned with white day lilies, ferns, ivy, starfish, sand dollars, seashells and mixed greenery. Tiki torches were adorned with the same decorations, and pink rose petals were scattered throughout the walkway.
A program of wedding music included Always by Bon Jovi, Angel by Aerosmith, November Rain by Guns n Roses, Ave Maria by Gounod, Canon in D by Pachelbel, Bridal Chorus by Wagner and Wedding March by Mendelssohn.
Mrs. Charman Putnam of Rome, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a fuchsia pink dress featuring a sleeveless V-neck bodice with an empire waist with silver accents. She carried a bouquet of white Cannas lilies tied with fuchsia pink ribbon.
Emma Stevenson, niece of the bride, was flower girl. The full skirt of her white satin dress had an overlay of pink organza.
The bride, given in marriage by her family and escorted by her grandfather, chose a satin gown featuring pearl and beaded accents. The mermaid-style waist was covered in beaded accents, and the skirt flowed into a chapel-length train. She wore a pearl and silver tiara and diamond earrings belonging to her aunt, Kathryn Kruse of Savannah. She carried a bouquet of fuchsia pink Cannas lilies tied with a matching ribbon.
John Benson of Jacksonville was best man.
Trent Marshall, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Drew Putnam and Dustin Putnam, nephews of the bride, were ushers.
The mother of the bride wore a two-piece ankle-length dress of ivory on ivory print featuring a split sleeve bodice with pink jewelry. The mother of the groom wore an ankle-length skirt of cream silk with a pink silk blouse accented with lace. The mothers wore corsages of roses, lilies and babys breath, and the grandmothers wore corsages of roses and babys breath.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Adele Grage Cultural Arts Center. Refreshments included the brides three-tier cake covered with white icing and chocolate sea shells. Dawn Parker, aunt of the groom, made the cake. The grooms cake was chocolate chip decorated with a body builder.
Following a wedding trip to Disney World, the couple resides in Knoxville.
