Ryan Smith / RN-T | Pepperell High School's chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions - otherwise known as SADD - is planning a special candle-lighting ceremony today to commemorate the 25th birthday of the national organization. SADD clubs around the country will hold similar services, said Alana Ellenburg, one of the Pepperell High SADD advisers. The event, called "SADD Turns 25: Lighting the Way," will begin at 7 p.m. today at the Gilbreath Recreation Center, 106 Garden Ave., Lindale.
