DETROIT Raymar Morgan grinned and lifted his right arm high in the air, saluting a stadium filled with Michigan State fans with a little wave.

There were players in uniform, plenty of parents and the feel of baseball in the air at Riverview Park on Saturday.
Rome Youth Activities Inc. held its Dizzy Dean opening day ceremonies at the youth fields behind the levee and YAI vice president Eddie Digsby was pleased with the way things went.
