Rev. Al Sharpton (left), the civil rights leader, made a visit on Dec. 21 to the studios of Perry Broadcasting of Augusta, Ga., while in Augusta to participate in the annual James Brown Toy & Turkey Giveaway events. Here, he is with Russell M. Perry, president of Perry Publishing & Broadcasting. Rev. Sharpton at least twice annually broadcasts his nationally syndicated radio talk-show from the studios in Augusta. “We’re happy to have Al Sharpton, an outstanding rights leader and a former presidential candidate, on board with our stations,” Mr. Perry said, “and I have extended an invitation to him to visit our operations in Oklahoma.” The studios house WFXA-FM, WAKB-FM, WTHB-FM, WTHB-AM and WAEG-AM.
