The authors of a book that gives health care advice to women will be the luncheon speakers during a forum sponsored by the local chapter of The Links.The health forum will begin with a continental breakfast at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Cox Convention Center, 1 Myriad Gardens.
Drs. Marilyn Hughes Gaston and Gayle Porter, authors of the book, “Prime Time: the African-American Woman’s Complete Guide to Midlife Health and Wellness,” will speak at a luncheon to be served at noon.
Glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol and other screenings will be offered at the forum.
A panel of dermatologists, cardiologists, gynecologists and internal medicine doctors will participate in an “Ask a Doctor” session.
A reception will be held following the forum.
