ONTARIO, Calif.--This year, the Worldwide Marriage Encounter group will celebrates 40 years of enriching and strengthening marriages in the United States and across the world.

>From June 27 through June 29, an international convention will be held at the Ontario Convention Center.

More than 1,000 couples and at least 100 priests will gather for the convention, according to Fr. Emile Frishe, a member of the Ecclesial Team that is organizing the convention.

The group offers a weekend experience “designed to give married couples the opportunity to learn a technique of loving communication they can use for the rest of their lives,” Fr. Frishe said.

“This is not a retreat, a marriage clinic, a group sensitivity event or a substitute for counseling,” he said. “It’s a unique approach aimed at revitalizing marriage.”

“It is a time for spouses to be alone together,” he continued, “to rediscover each other and together focus on their relationship for an entire weekend.”

Reservations can be made by calling Dick and Diane Baumbach at 1(321)544-3440 or at dickanddiane@bellsouth.net.
