Seminar Hopes To Transform ‘Hearts Of Every Father’

“Championship Fathering,” a seminar, will be held at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 5700 N. Kelley Ave.

Set for 7 p.m. on Friday, May 16, and 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, the seminar is designed to “transform the hearts of every father,” a spokesman said.

Carey Casey and George Young, both of whom are with the National Center for Fathering, will be among the seminar speakers.

Mr. Casey is president and Mr. Young is an executive with the center.

Brett Fuller, pastor of the Grace Covenant Church of Chantilly, Va., will be another speaker.

The seminar was described as “a life-changing experience” that gives men the “tools to fulfill their critical jobs as fathers and grandfathers.”

“The Power of the Parenting Team,” the May 16 session, is for men and women, and will emphasize the importance of parental cooperation in providing a strong family environment.

y and will have two sessions:

The first of them will be held from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. and is for fathers facing divorce, single-parenting or stepfamily issues.

The second May 17 session will be held from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., and will discuss the three critical areas for fathering success.

Fathers will be charged $40 each for attending the May 16 and May 17 sessions, and mothers will be charged $20 each to attend the May 16 session.
