ATLANTA--Rev. John F. Green has been named president and dean of the Turner Theological Seminary.The African Methodist Episcopal Church seminary is part of the Interdenominational Theological Center. Before the appointment, Rev. Green was pastor for 12 years of the Bethel AME Church in Tallahassee, Fla. Prior to that, he led as pastor the Hurst Chapel AME Church in Orlando, Fla., and the Allen Temple AME Church in Tampa, Fla. Group Applauds Methodists For Rejecting Divestment

WORTH--Christians for Fair Witness on the Middle East applauded the United Methodist Church for rejecting divestment from companies doing business with Israel.Five annual conferences of the United States and an independent Methodist organization had submitted divestment petitions for consideration at the General Conference held here last week.
