Nampa, Caldwell and Boise parks

Nampa Parks open one half hour before sunrise and close one half hour after sunset. Dogs must be on a leash. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. No overnight parking/camping.

The Nampa Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of sports, activities and classes for adults and children. For more information, pick up a guide at the Nampa Recreation Center, located off 12th Avenue at 131 Constitution Way.

If you’re planning a wedding, family gathering, party or special event, the Nampa Parks and Recreation Department offers the use of their Special Events Facilities. Picnic, wedding location, amphitheater and special event reservations must be made in person at the Parks and Recreation Administration Office, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. There is a reservation fee. Nampa Parks

  • Lakeview Park Garrity Boulevard and 16th Ave. N.
    Amenities: Covered picnic shelters, playground equipment, softball fields, Rose Garden (over 45 varieties), amphitheater (1,000 person seating capacity), public restrooms, swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, archery range, duck pond, horseshoe pits, a variety of historic displays featuring retired machinery, military jet and M-60 tank, BBQ areas, BMX track.
  • West Park Lone Star and Midland Blvd.
    Amenities: Two covered picnic shelters, playground equipment, softball fields, public restrooms, basketball courts, jogging/fitness path.
  • Lions Park Davis Avenue and Winther Blvd.
    Amenities: Two covered picnic shelters, playground equipment, softball fields, public restrooms, swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, Little League fields, BBQ areas.
  • Hunter Park 9th Avenue and Phyllis Canal.
    Amenities: Playground equipment, basketball court.
  • Indian Creek Park 2nd St. N. and 17th Avenue N.
    Amenities: Playground equipment, basketball court, softball field.
  • City Acres Park 4th Road N. and 4th St. N. Extension.
    Amenities: Playground equipment, basketball court, softball field.
  • Liberty Park Holly/Sunny Ridge and Constitution Way.
    Amenities: Playground equipment, softball field, soccer fields, basketball courts, covered picnic shelter, public restrooms, sand volleyball area.

All parks have active and passive open areas.

  • Lincoln Pool located in Lion’s Park on Davis Avenue and Winther Blvd.
    Amenities: Public swimming pool. Open from 1 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. daily. Admission is $2 ages over 18, $1.50 ages 13-17, $1.25 ages 6-12 and $1.25 for 5 yrs. and under.
  • Lakeview Water Park located in Lakeview Park at Garrity Boulevard and 16th Avenue N.
    Amenities: Water park including slide and wading pool. Opened from 1-4:45 p.m. and 6-8:45 p.m. daily. Admission is $2.25 for over 18 yrs, $1.75 ages 13 - 17, $1.50 p.m. ages 6 - 12 and $1 under 5.
  • Skyview Complex next to Skyview High School off Greenhurst Road.
    Amenities: Three soccer fields, four softball fields
  • Stampede Park located behind the Rodeo Park baseball field off Garrity Boulevard in Nampa. Skateboard park is here.
    Amenities: Four baseball fields and home of the Nampa Babe Ruth’s Major League teams. Also a skateboard park.
  • Nampa Greenbelt located at Iowa Avenue east of 12th Avenue near Lois Lane or at Lake Lowell Avenue just east of Midland Boulevard or at the end of Stanford Street near Nampa High School, 3806 S. Powerline along the canal to Roosevelt Avenue, and Greenhurst to Sunnyridge Road. About five miles of the envisioned 13-mile Greenway have been completed and should be completed in the next couple of years.

Caldwell Parks

Parks and recreation facilities are among Caldwell’s greatest assets. There are many activities for every age. The Oregon Trail Centennial Greenway offers recreational opportunities for jogging, walking, bicycling, fishing and sight-seeing with historic markers along the way.

The Caldwell Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of classes and activities for adults and children.

  • Memorial Park Kimball and Grant St.
    Amenities: playground equipment, tennis courts, ball fields, swimming pool, Van Slyke Museum, band shell, sand volleyball, basketball court, picnic tables, rest rooms and drinking fountain.
  • Sebree Park Grant St. and Fillmore St.
    Amenities: playground equipment, ball fields, soccer fields, volleyball, picnic tables, rest rooms.
  • Luby Park Illinois and Marble Front Rd.
    Rose Garden, playground equipment, tennis courts, baseball field, sand volleyball, basketball court, picnic tables, rest rooms and drinking fountains.
  • Caldwell Greenbelt along the Boise River. A natural area along the river used for walking, picnics and relaxation.
    Whittenberger Park Chicago St. and Centennial Way.
    Amenities: soccer fields, picnic tables, picnic shelter, portable rest rooms.
  • J.C. Park 5th and Galveston St.
    Amenities: playground equipment, basketball courts, picnic tables and public rest rooms.
  • Curtis Park River Drive.
    A wilderness park located on the Boise River with a natural spring for overnight outings.
  • Gabiola Ball Fields located on Blaine St.
    Amenities: baseball and softball fields.
  • Ustick Park 10th Ave. S. and Ustick Rd.
    Amenities: baseball and soccer fields.
  • Caldwell Public Swimming Pool located at 502 Harrison. Open daily from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults, $1.50 for under 18 and 50 cents for seniors and free for 2 and younger.
    Rec Centers
  • River City Racquetball and Fitness Nampa. 467-9233. Basketball, swimming, hot tub, saunas, steam room, weights, floor and water aerobics, senior classes, fitness testing, personal training, massage therapy.
    Nampa Rec Center Nampa, 465-2288. Basketball, racquetball.

Major Boise Parks

  • Julia Davis Park 700 S. Capitol Blvd. Part of the Boise Greenbelt system. Includes a rose garden, band shell, the Fun Spot, Zoo Boise, picnic areas and public rest rooms.
  • Ann Morrison Park 1000 Block of Americana Blvd. Set along the Boise River, providing ponds, playground equipment, picnic areas, softball fields, public rest rooms and a rental shop for tubes, bikes and in-line skates.
  • Kathryn Albertson Park 1000 Block of Americana Blvd. A passive-use nature area with ponds, walking paths and wildlife habitat. The scenic nature of the park makes it a common site for weddings.
  • Veterans Park off State Street by the Boise River. Picnic areas, walkways, natural areas.
