Canyon County Fair

  • CALDWELL — The Canyon County Fair & Festival will have things hopping July 25-29 at the fairgrounds in Caldwell.

    Carolyn D. Johnson, CMA nominee, will perform Saturday, July 27. General seating tickets are $10.50 through Select-a-Seat or $13.50 at the gate, Reserved V.I.P. floor seating is available for $18.50 through Select-a-Seat or for $21.50 at the gate. All prices include fair admission.

    In addition to livestock judging, carnival rides and competitive exhibits, the fair will hold a number of fun contests and food booths.
    Fair admission is $2. Gates are open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Owyhee County Fair

  • HOMEDALE — The Owyhee County Fair will run Aug. 5-10 at the fairgrounds in Homedale.

    The theme for the 2002 Owyhee County Fair is “Stars and Stripes.”

    There’s a parade on Saturday at 10 a.m.

    There will be a livestock sale, livestock judging, competitive exhibits and contests.

    The rodeo runs Wednesday through Saturday and starts at 8 p.m.

Western Idaho Fair

  • GARDEN CITY — Treasure Valley’s biggest fair will run Aug. 16-24 at the Western Idaho Fairgrounds in Boise.

    The theme for the fair’s 105th year is Barnyard Olympics featuring big-name entertainment. Advance fair tickets are $4 for adults, $1.50 for seniors and children from 6 to 11. Tickets at the gate are $5 for adults and $2 for children. Gates will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight.

    Friday, Aug. 16 — Carrot Top, 7:30 p.m., tickets are $15 and $10.

    Saturday, Aug. 17 — Foreigner, 7:30 p.m., $20.

    Sunday, Aug. 18 — Travis Tritt, 7:30 p.m., $20.

    Monday, Aug. 19 — Lifehouse, 7:30 p.m., $20.

    Tuesday, Aug. 20 — Rockin’ Roadhouse Tour: Tracy Lawrence, Mark Chesnutt, and Joe Diffie, 7:30 p.m., $20.

    Wednesday, Aug. 21 — Ted Nugent, 7:30 p.m., $16.

    Thursday, Aug. 22 — Arena Cross, 7:00 p.m., $10.

    Friday, Aug. 23 and Saturday, Aug. 24 — ICA Finals Rodeo, 3:00 p.m., tickets are $5 and available the day of the show only.
