Thanks to a newly completed agreement between MyWebPal and iTunes, your readers can now access and download thousands of music singles, albums, and collections via Apple iTunes. Besides the standard pay-per-downloads, MyWebPal is now able to offer your readers a free download that changes each week. (Sample ad image included above.)
iTunes now supplies music data to MyMusicPal which is a fully-branded entertainment section that is available to all MyWebPal publishers. Taking a quick tour indicates that iTunes are not just for the young and hip (which I'm sure describes most of you), but also for those of us who sense a growing nostalgia in their music choices -- you know, we moldy-oldies er, Golden-Oldies! Last week's free music download was by a group called the Perishers. I clicked on the banner ad, went immediately to the iTunes site, and then was giving the option of downloading right onto my desktop. It was a breeze.
As a courtesy iTunes free music downloads are automatically activated on all new MyWebPal client sites. We supply the code and initial artwork which will be automatically updated each week to reflect the current musical artist and that week's download. What could be easier?
That said, how about taking this a bit further? Announce it in your paper as a special service available to your readers through your online site. Go ahead... take all the credit! Your readers will thank you.
