The Lions Club will hold its annual Pasta Bowl on Sun Mar 21, from 4 to 7pm, in the gymnasium at Christ the King School. Tickets cost $10 for adults; $5 for children under 12. The Pasta Bowl will feature an array of homemade Italian dishes, as well as bread, salad, dessert, and beverages. The always-popular basket auction will make the evening complete.
In years past, the basket auction has featured items donated by the Phillies and Eagles, local museums, Borough businesses, and popular eateries. The committee continues to search for donations that will make this year’s basket auction the best ever. In return, donors will be acknowledged during the auction and on the Lions’ Web site. Proceeds will benefit the Blind Fund which supports summer camp for blind children in New Jersey, provides eyeglasses and vision equipment for those in need, and funds blindness-prevention research and eye clinics in developing countries. The Blind Fund also supports the Delaware Valley Eye Bank and the South Jersey Eye Center’s Eyemobile, while providing amblyopia screenings to hundreds of local preschoolers.
