On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti. The quake, the most powerful to hit Haiti in a century, has left the poverty stricken island in shambles. The nation is depending on aid from other countries.
The WEBELOS scouts of Pack 65 will raise money for the American Red Cross in its efforts to assist the injured, support hospitals, provide clean drinking water, and so much more. The scouts will work for the month of February in order to raise funds.
The group (under parent supervision) is offering services such as being a mom's helper for small children, light hauling and moving (bricks, firewood, etc.), clearing and sweeping out garages, clearing out garden brush, dog walking, and anything else you may need done. The scouts will accept donations for their work, which will be sent to the American Red Cross.
The scouts are available for work on Tuesdays February 2, February 9, and February 23 from 3:30 to 5pm, Fridays February 5, February 12, and February 26 from 3:30 to 5pm, and Sundays February 21 and February 28 from 4 to 6pm.
