The Haddonfield boys' cross-country team won the NJ Group 2 championship on Saturday (November 14). Four Dawgs finished in the top five in a field of 145.
Jon "Boo" Vitez won the race clearly, with a time of 15 minutes 57 seconds. Matt Nussbaum (16:30) and Ben Potts (16:32) came in second and third, followed by Colin Baker (16:38) in fifth place.
Also contributing to the team win were Ethan Quanci (finished 21st), Tim Malloy (32), and Ray Schlitt (44).
Marielle Hall won the girls' race with a time of 19 minutes 18 seconds, seven seconds ahead of her nearest rival.
Delsea edged the girls for the team title. Also contributing to the girls' second-place finish were Mia Spinelli (finished 15th), Madeline McAdams (36), Colleen Shea (41), Coulson Oswald (43), Becky Barber (44), and Haley Manochi (52). There were 141 runners in the field.
