The newest exhibit at the Historical Society showcases a variety of items. Coming Home to Roots: A Sampler of Recent Acquisitions is made up of objects that the Society has received in the last three years.
The exciting exhibit includes portraits, a wedding gown, photographs, a table once owned by John Estaugh Hopkins, a naval uniform from the Spanish American War (1898), newspaper articles illustrating local events like the catastrophic flood of 1941 and more.
Stop in during regular Greenfield Hall visiting hours: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1 to 4pm and the first Sunday of the month from 1 to 4pm, or by appointment. Admission is free for members; $4 for non-members. Call 429-7375 for details.
