Sheriff Mark Nichols reports the following incidents, investigations and arrests:

A deputy was dispatched to a vacant residence in rural Clark in reference to a burglary. The complainant reported that the realtors have been showing the house to sell. The last time the house was shown, all of the appliances were at the residence. When the realtor arrived at the residence this time, it was noticed that the drop in stove, built in oven, water heater, dishwasher, gas wall heater and range hood were removed. The investigation continues.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Highway JJ in reference to a report of harassment by way of phone. The complainant reported that an individual known by her was calling her and harassing her by calling her vulgar names. Due to not knowing the whereabouts of the suspect, the deputy attempted contact by phone. The deputy was unable to make contact but left a message on the suspect’s voicemail advising him of the complaints and the consequences if the calls did not cease. No further action taken.

A deputy served a writ of body attachment on a Clark resident. The individual was taken into custody and transported to the Randolph County Jail where she will be held until the time of hearing or the individual post the required bond.

A deputy received a report from a rural Moberly resident concerning property damage. The complainant reported that someone struck his mailbox with a vehicle, destroying the mailbox and post. The investigation continues.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 1415 in reference to a suspicious incident. The complainant reported that she heard someone knocking on her door. The deputy checked the residence finding no signs of disturbance.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in rural Moberly in reference to a residential alarm sounding. The deputy arrived and found the residence to be secure. No further action taken.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on County Road 2755 in reference to a suspicious vehicle driving up and down the road. The deputy patrolled the entire length of the road not observing any vehicle matching the description of the one given.

John Thomas Keller was served a Randolph County warrant on a class C felony charge of passing bad checks - $500 or more – no account/insufficient funds. Keller posted the required bond and was released.

Shawn R. Burch was served a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a class A misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks – less than $500. Burch remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bond.

Bobby Lamar Spears was served two Randolph County warrants. Warrant one for a probation violation on two class C felony charges of domestic assault – 2nd degree, a class D felony charge of armed criminal action, two class D felony charges of unlawful use of a weapon and a class D felony charge of resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony. Warrant two for a probation violation on a class D felony charge of resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony, a class A misdemeanor charge of operated a motor vehicle on highway while driver’s license/privilege revoked, a class A misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated – alcohol – prior offender, a class A misdemeanor charge of possession of up to 35 grams of Marijuana, a class B misdemeanor charge of operated a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, a class C misdemeanor charge of failed to yield to an emergency motor vehicle sounding audible siren signal and displaying lighted visible, an infraction charge of failed to drive on right half of roadway when roadway was of sufficient width and a class C misdemeanor charge of failed to drive on right half of roadway when roadway was of sufficient width, causing an immediate threat of accident. Spears remains in the Randolph County Jail in lieu of the required bonds.

Richard E. Wiggins Jr. was served a Randolph County warrant on a class D felony charge of operated a motor vehicle without a valid license – 3rd and subsequent offense. Wiggins posted the required bond and was released.

Christopher Lynn Dysart was served a Randolph County warrant for a probation violation on a class A misdemeanor charge of non-support. Dysart was released on his own recognizance by the court.
