The George Parker Youth Leadership Conference is coming together, and you can help. The event will be Saturday, August 15 at Jack's in Columbia starting at 9 A.M. and going to approximately 3 P.M.
Here is the web site I created so that you can let people know who you think might want to attend. This is a statewide event. http://www.centralmoyrs.com/youthleadershipconference.htm This conference is designed for young adults ages 16-20, which would be high school juniors and seniors, and college freshmen and sophomores.
Speakers will include Kenny Hulshof, Sen. Kurt Schaefer, and Cong. Blaine Luetkemeyer.
Topics will include Ethics in Government, the use of technology for effective campaigning, and bill writing and passing.
Here's how you can help: Get people signed up for the event (registration form can be downloaded on the web page); cost is only $15. Please forward the web page to young adults you know who would want to participate. If you don't know any young adults, think of your contacts who might, like teachers, coaches, neighbors and more.
We will need volunteers that day to help with greeting attendees and speakers, supplies, and more. All day would be great, but even a couple hours will be very appreciated and beneficial to the success of this event. Send me a reply to this message to volunteer with name, phone, and e-mail address, and I will forward it on.
