I was deeply saddened to have just learned that our Pachyderm Founder, George Parker passed away Wednesday afternoon May 27th from pancreatic cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lois and her family.
It was just 12 days ago that Jeannine Stuart and myself, along with many Pachyderms celebrated George's 86th Birthday on May 16 at his home in Columbia. George seemed strong and vibrant and received a birthday call from Lt. Governor Peter Kinder. A memorial service for George Parker is scheduled for Saturday, June 6 at 3:30 P.M. at the Unitarian Church located at 2615 Shepard Blvd, Columbia, MO 65201.
