To the Editor: Do you know Buddha Tree? It's my name for the 100 year-old Maple which graced the path into Gabriel Park. Kali, my dog, and I would visit Buddha Tree on our daily walks, sitting on its burly Buddha-Belly bottom, or just admiring its massive trunk and graceful limbs.
