ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL OFFERS H1N1 VACCINATION CLINIC TO THE PUBLIC

St. Mary’s Hospital and the Macon County Health Department will offer free H1N1 vaccinations to the public on Friday, November 13, from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the hospital Forum. The clinic will serve those within the H1N1priority groups on a walk-in, first come, first served basis.

The priority groups that will be able to receive a vaccination on Friday, November 13th include:

• Pregnant or recently pregnant women

• People who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age

• Health care and emergency medical personnel

• Anyone from 6 months through 24 years of age

• Anyone from 25 through 64 years of age with certain chronic medical conditions or a weakened immune system

Those who are not within the high-risk priority groups will be turned away. If you have additional questions, there will be knowledgeable staff members available on Friday at the clinic site to answer them for you.

Consent forms will be available at the vaccination clinic and online at www.stmarysdecatur.com for those who would like to view and/or complete the form prior to arriving at the clinic.

Parking for the clinic will be in the lot behind the 1900 building (Medical Arts) just off of Lake Shore Drive across from the Decatur Day Care Center. Those with special needs or who are unable to walk can be vaccinated in their cars.
