The Kirbyville Wildcats traveled to Bronco Stadium in Dayton on Friday night to take on the Anahuac Panthers for the second round of the 2A Division One playoffs where the Wildcats defeated the Panthers 28 - 6.

Shavontze Young is Rowe Student of the Week
Student of the Week for the week of November 16, 2009 is 6th grade student Shavontze Young. Brandy Robinson said, He is a great student. He works hard and is very polite when working with other students. Karon Radford said, Shavontze has a real joy for learning. His eyes light up and he gets so excited when he learns anything new. He is the son of Meagan Young. He likes to play basketball and football in his spare time.

O’Keith Johnson named JJHS Student of the Week
OKeith Johnson, an eighth grader at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as Student of the Week for the week of November 16-20.
OKeith has been great this semester. His work has improved tremendously over last year. He tries very hard to do a good job on each project and I am extremely proud of him. He is a good role model for the others in his class, said teacher Debbie Simmons. Im very happy to have him back in my class this year.

The Kirbyville Wildcats defeated the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs in Abe Martin Stadium in Lufkin on Friday night by the score of 51 to 28.
Kirbyville took possession just short of mid field on the opening kickoff and drove it down to the 15 yard line but a personal foul set the Wildcats back to the 30 were Fred Rhodes scored on and end around for the first TD of the game and with the point after, Kirbyville took the lead at 7 0 with just a minute twenty one off the clock.
