A very special veteran of the United States military was honored at Veterans’ Day ceremonies at Fairview Cemetery on November 11. Dressed in his dark, spic and span uniform, Superior resident and U.S. veteran Edward Garcia appeared at the event and was recognized for his service to his country. At 99 years young, Mr. Garcia is the oldest member of both veterans’ organizations that are active in Superior, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
