On Wednesday, July 25 three students from Chaparral High School will compete in Sacramento, California at the 35th USA Track and Field National Junior Olympic Championships. The Junior Olympics will be held at California State University. This is the same site of the 2000 US Olympic team trials for Track and Field and the site of the Olympic Trials in 2004. The meet will run from July 24 to the 29.

Crews were hard at work last week sprucing up East Mainstreet in Parker, giving the area that hometown touch of class.
The stamped concrete within the medians was removed to allow more oxygen to get to the roots of the trees within those medians.
Ten planters were positioned, with various arrangements planned to be grown each year. Crews planted Russian sage, blue chip junipers, dwarf mugos and day lilies.
